What to expect from Private Pilates Sessions at Flora Grace
Imagine walking into a space that greets you with the charm of a century-old historic building, a fresh breeze coming in through arched windows, high-quality Pilates equipment with your comfort in mind, and a personal Pilates trainer to guide your workout - all within a peaceful haven so you can focus solely on your movement practice.
I teach a classical style of Pilates with a systemic approach utilizing classical Pilates equipment (apparatus). Classical equipment uses heavier springs than contemporary equipment, and it is important to build up to certain exercises before introducing them. I carefully select the starting point for each individual based on movement history, current fitness level and prior Pilates experience. It is a priority for me to make this method accessible (and fun) to all fitness levels!
Flexibility, relaxation and mobility are essential components of building a Pilates repertoire. For this reason I incorporate other mind-body modalities to enhance your Pilates practice such as:
- Tension reduction exercises to calm the mind and facilitate mind/body awareness and connection
- Pre-Pilates exercises with props like therabands, yoga straps and exercise balls
- Exercises that build up strength and flexibility in the feet
Hands-on corrections and guidance are typically part of a one-on-one program with client permission.

At Flora Grace Classic Pilates we move from a place of space and grace, building up the layers of complexity of each exercise, adding depth and significance to your practice.
